Distribution Utility Services (DUS)
MIESCOR’s Distribution Utilities Services (DUS) group plays a vital role in supporting utility operations through reliable manpower solutions and project execution. Since 1995, MIESCOR—through its Engineering and Various Services group—has been providing MERALCO with qualified personnel for a wide range of contracted services within its franchise area.
In 2003, the Revenue Protection Project was launched to reinforce MERALCO’s efforts in reducing system loss. This milestone paved the way for several specialized initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and service reliability. By May 2007, the Revenue Protection Projects and Engineering and Various Services were consolidated to form what is now known as the Distribution Utilities Services (DUS) group.
Since its establishment, DUS has steadily expanded its scope and scale of operations. From managing just 5 projects in its early years, the group oversaw 16 projects by 2015, and today handles 23 active projects—a clear testament to its consistent growth and the increasing confidence of its clients.
